Working together on genealogy, that is the motto of the luxroots.lu group! This makes us one of the most successful providers of Luxembourg genealogy data.

Our group is represented with an information desk at the regional conference for genealogy and local history on Saturday, September 25 from 10am to 5pm in the Lycée classique Diekirch. Welcome!
The luxroots.lu group is also present with an information desk at the National Conference for Genealogy and local history in Leudelange, on Sunday, October 17 from 10am to 5pm. Thank you in advance for coming!

luxroots.com and the Senior Clubs of Dudelange, Bereldange, Hupperdange, Wasserbillig, Kehlen, Ettelbruck, Strassen and Rumelange are organizing free Genealogy courses starting in September in order to get more people interested in this nice hobby and in our project. More information in our calendar.
Our workshops to help you start in genealogy, to help with programs on your computers and on the Internet will start again on September 4th. The workshops will be given free of charge in a room at the Hall Omnisports in Leudelange. For more details and dates for the period September to December 2010, check

During the last month, our associate Joseph SCHLOESSER finished the data input of the 7.603 baptisms 1666 to 1803 of the parish of
Niederwiltz; Georges EICHER has entered the 2.718 births 1890-1923 of the City of Ettelbruck. The data input of births of Diekirch and Ettelbruck will be finished by end of the year.

Some interested people have announced their future collaboration in our ever-growing project. We need more staff in order to help us with the data input of records for the following
Townships and parishes.

Please be informed of a new document with lists of births, weddings and death 1867-1900 of the township of MONDERCANGE (Monnerich, Monnerech) with the villages: MONDRICH, BERGEM, PONTPIERRE, FOETZ, METTENTHAL. This work has been done on the basis of microfilmed material at the National Archives by Jean DIDERICH – DE LA HAMETTE, L-4597 DIFFERDANGE and is published together with luxroots.com & roots.lu
