luxroots.com has now analyzed and entered more than 500.000 records in its database. Our current associates have allowed the cross-border project to become the largest genealogy website in Luxembourg in in just a few years. Today we provide you with the details of more than 458,000 birth records, almost 35,000 marriage records and 7,500 death records, with more than 99.3% including full details.
The project, started in 1998 on the address georges.eicher.com with 5,000 people from the former township of Hachiville, was first checked on August 18th, 2000 by
the website "archive". This first genealogical database in Luxembourg has changed its name to www.luxroots.com since 2004, in order to take into account the cooperation of many associates.

Today, with an ever-increasing number of associates, we still believe that it is possible to capture the details of all records of parish and civil registers of Luxembourg and cross-border regions in a single database available to a global audience.

Thomas WEBERS, a new associate from Germany, joined our team for the input of births of the township of Dalheim. The input of births records for the townships of Bettembourg, Bous, Frisange, Kayl, Reckange, Rumelange will be started soon.
Which associate is working on what today ?

For our project extension to the cantons of Mersch, Capellen, Grevenmacher, Remich, Luxembourg, and Esch-sur-Alzette and in the regions bordering Germany and Belgium, we are looking for associates to operate in the townships/parishes in this region. Join the great (jigsaw)puzzle of Luxembourgish genealogy by analyzing and capturing the details from records of your preferred township/parish in our database.

ALGH and Pit THILL from Schifflange, who we met regularly at the National Archives.

Luxembourgers, Soldiers of France 1792-1815 is a new
