Registration is done with this form. After confirmation, you will have a message to your email address that you need to confirm. A 2nd message will inform you about your NUMBERid.
Log in using this NUMBERid and your password and go to your datasheet, which is automatically created after your registration, via the link Show my personal profile.

Keeping our visitors happy is one of our priorities – Contact us for any help!

When you arrive on your datasheet, you have the possibility to add or connect your father and mother.
Depending on their years of birth (e.g. before 1924 for people born in Luxembourg), it is possible that your father and mother are already in luxroots and at that time, you connect the person on the record with these people.

You can then add your partner with the marriage/PACS, add your children and grandchildren.
You have the option of adding photos of people, links to other online documents (digitized newspapers), studies, jobs, functions, etc.
After adding and connecting your records to the roots already present in luxroots, a link allows you to create online a pedigree chart up to 12 generations (as long as the starting person was born after 2019).

The visualization of listings created by other luxroots registered visitors can only be viewed by a subscriber.
In any case, the files of people who fall under data protection (usually 100 years, rarely 110 years) can only be consulted by the person who entered them.

Without a subscription, you cannot research or establish pedigree charts other than your own or establish descendants lists.

This is possible in different authorized spaces which are currently:
- In Luxembourg, the National Archives, the National Library, the National Museum
- In Belgium, the reading rooms of the Belgian State Archives
- In the United States, FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, Utah
The registered visitor can search up to 30 times a day, create pedigree tables and descendants lists with your myluxroots points.

With a luxroots subscription, you have the best offer for your family research in Luxembourg and the neighbouring regions (Germany, Belgium and France) at home and elsewhere.

luxroots.com asbl is a non-profit association which has been involved for 20 years in the transcription of the details of the records of the Civil Registry (1796-1923) and the parish registers (before 1800) of Luxembourg and its neighbouring regions, most of which formerly belonged to the Duchy of Luxembourg.
Currently, more than 70 volunteers enter some 700 records every day, whether they are birth/baptism, marriage, death or notary certificates.
Our data can be consulted by our subscribers, and they can also add their recent family and will then have the possibility to display online a pedigree chart up to 12 generations respectively a list of the descendants of a certain ancestor.
A unique application in the Greater Region!
