We regret to inform you of the death of our colleague Claude LANNERS, who died on May 30th. Claude was a very motivated researcher of the genealogy of the families LANNERS, HOTTUA, BORMAN, ... You can look at the great quality of his work on the websites www.lannersnet.lu and www.hottua.lu. We express our deepest sympathy to his family.

300 births 1798-1823 of the former township of Everlange by Georges EICHER
3.794 births 1798-1923 of the township of Useldange by Susi VOOSEN
4.942 births 1798-1859 of the township of Mersch by Paulette GRUN-BESCH
370 marriages 1838-1923 of the former township of Arsdorf by Ferd KOEUNE
1.874 marriages 1840-1923 of the city of Diekirch by Agnès et Armand SERRES-HEINEN.
Which associate is working on what today ?

For our project extension to the cantons of Mersch, Capellen, Grevenmacher, Remich, Luxembourg, and Esch-sur-Alzette and in the regions bordering Germany and Belgium, we are looking for associates to operate in the townships/parishes in this region. Join the great (jigsaw)puzzle of Luxembourgish genealogy by analyzing and capturing the details from records of your preferred township/parish in our database. Contact us if you are interested in working with us !

Luxembourgers, Soldiers of France 1792-1815 is a new luxroots page where we have centralized all the articles on this topic, which has been started by our colleague Norbert HAMES(+) on the basis of the two volumes of Charles SCHAACK. The database, searchable by search engine, contains more than 5,000 soldiers and 25,000 events.

luxroots offers you to publish your genealogical search results free of charge on the website igenealogy.lu. Don't hesitate to contact the person handling the data by clicking the link in the 'Tree' column or the 'Suggestion' link on the individual records.
www.igenealogy.lu now includes 157.000 persons, 57.000 families and 22.000 surnames, after Bob ARENS has updated its GEDCOM-file. Check the list Top-100 surnames!
